Mallow Castle is an excellent example of a private Irish castle which caters for weddings in Ireland and where you can have the whole castle to yourself for the duration of the reception.
The Elizabethan seat of the Lord President of Munster the ‘new’ castle has been in continuous occupancy since 1690 and ‘modernised’ in 1828 and 1990. Set in its own walled demesne of 40 acres, Mallow Castle offers idyllic privacy while affording easy access to the town of Mallow. The grounds include acres of fine lawns, gardens, woodland and a private deer park with its herd of 100 white fallow deer. In addition there is the floodlight ruins of the original Mallow Castle built in 1585. The accommodation at the castle includes seven principal double bedrooms furnished with fine antiques providing space and comfort for up to fourteen guests and additional persons by request.
